If you have ever wondered how long you will live, you don’t have to any more, since a Brazilian team of doctors have developed an incredible test that gives you a good indication of how fit someone really is.


 The study was led by Claudio Gil Araujo, and it showed that the individuals who perform poorly on the test have higher mortality rate than those who complete it easily.








The key of the test is that if you maintain a certain level of fitness as you grow old, you will love longer than those who can’t.
In order to perform the test, you need to sit down and stand up again, and meanwhile you need to score points.
  1. Before standing in a relaxed position, make sure there are no objects around you like furniture. After that, cross your legs. You start the exercise with 10 points.
  2. While being in this standing position, you should try and sit cross-legged on the floor. Remember not to support yourself with any other body part than your feet and bottom. You will lose one point if you do support yourself with your hand, leg, arm or knee. Moreover, you will lose half a point if you stumble or lose your balance, but don’t support yourself in any way.



  3. From the position where you are sitting cross-legged on the floor, you need to try and stand up without using any body part other than your legs. However, you feet may touch the floor. Do not support yourself with any part of your body since you will lose one point.
