Breaking: Revolutionary Cannabis Gum is the Long Awaited Cure for Irritable Bowel Disease
According to scientists and medical professionals, there might be a brain-gut connection in the case of irritable bowel syndrome. In other words, this condition might be caused by depression and anxiety constantly fueling one another. But, it seems like there’s a solution to this problem, and that’s a marijuana-infused chewing gum.
According to U.S. statistics, there are approximately 3.5 million Americans that suffer from IBS.
An American marijuana company produced this revolutionary gum, and as Dutch doctors explain, it has the potential to cure irritable bowel syndrome.
Dutch medical researchers from WUR (Wageningen University and Research Centre) will start testing this “CanChew” marijuana-infused chewing gum produced by the same company known for selling hemp-derived CBD oil – Medical Marijuana, Inc. in San Diego, California.
So far, scientists haven’t found a cure for IBS, so the lab tests for this CBD-infused gum will be the first of its kind.
Cannabidiol could reduce the severity and frequency of colon spasm in people with irritable bowel syndrome. Reduced tension in the digestive tract would mean reduced bloating and cramping which will allow bowel movements in IBS patients.
Each gum contains 50 mg of CBD. Researchers will test the gum on 40 participants with irritable bowel syndrome, at the ages between 18 and 65. One group will receive up to 6 gums a day, while other a placebo.
AXIM ® Biotechnologies, Inc. believes this marijuana-infused chewing gum will be effective in treating Crohn’s disease, colitis, and other GI conditions. This will help so many people, especially Crohn’s disease patients who experience terrible symptoms.
