Nowadays, people are so addicted to their smartphones  and tablets, that they carry them everywhere, even in the bathroom. The reason why people use their phones in the bathroom is because they read something while sitting on the toilet and they avoid being bored.

As you can imagine, this habit is really a bad one because smartphones affect our overall health and they are dangerous. People should be aware of the fact that germs are all around us, especially in the bathroom. This means that while we sit on the toilet and hold our smartphone in our hands, those germs can be spread on the phone as well.

Even worse are public toilets because we can’t control whether the toilet handles, the floor, the door and the faucet are as clean as in our home. Moreover, the dirty toilet water is spread everywhere in the public bathrooms, even on the toilet paper which is really disgusting and unhealthy.

Sadly, all those germs present in public toilet can trigger numerous types of bacteria and viruses like E. coli, norovirus, salmonella and many more. A study was conducted at the University of Arizona which showed that even 9 out of 10 phones had potential disease-causing microbe and 16% tested positive for fecal matter.

As you can see, it is quite dangerous to take your phone with you in the bathroom, especially in public ones, so try to avoid this and be careful as much as possible.
